If Only

If only you would
understand the
complexity of reality
and human life.

You fit the many into one,
and cultural wars ensue.

You believe this is
your only life,
and rules apply to all.

You have forgotten
your source,
that you are gods
and children of the Most High.
You forget this is not home,
it is just a leg of the journey.

You have forgotten your
incarnations already lived as a man,
as a woman, as Chinese, Maori,
Islander, Inca, Gaul,
pink, brown, black.

You think this is it,
so what you feel in gender
is what you must express
in the body.

But think this:
You are remembering
your past lives,
maybe better as female,
maybe better as male.
The two exist in you,
in all of you.
You are an expression of
chemicals, culture, caste,
and incarnations.
Men are not always men,
women are not always women.
I am a man but feel so feminine;
I am a woman, but feel so masculine.
So many experience this
to one degree or another.
But understand this: Humanity is evolving
toward accepting and experiencing
the two as one.

So, you think you're in the wrong body.
You're not.
You just "remember" a past life
stronger as male or female,
and you miss it.
Or your chemical hormones
are off kilter, causing
the psyche to think more
towards the feminine
or towards the masculine,
though the body is
the opposite.
Something's amiss.
It's not.
The variety of human experience
is infinite.

Believe it or don't,
you chose this life.
What you live now
is what you chose to live
before incarnating.
Don't rue it, experience it.

There's always a new

life to live.
