veni et illumina sedentes in tenebris et umbra mortis.
O Radiant Dawn, splendor of eternal light, sun of justice:
come and shine on those who dwell in darkness
and in the shadow of death.
To know the Light of God,
one must disrobe the transitory ego
and journey naked into the depths of the soul,
which is the Light of God ---
where there is no darkness,
and death is an illusion.
