Into their hands

we commend his future,

and they literally

touch his heart

to heal the anomaly

and give him more time

to sense this world sublime.

Being held in limbo,

no one can know

the angels' caring presence

salving Raymond's soul

while The Healers hack and sew,

hopeful to return the glow

of Life Blood to nerve and vein.

Now, it's God's turn;

weigh the evidence,

make a decision:

Stay or come home?

Come home or stay?

And if God is ominipresent,

then we're already there, eh?

So, give us more memories

of Ray's humor, voice and face

to make our world

gentler, calmer,

and worth the pace.
