Signs and Wonder

D.T. - a sign

(I dare not pronounce his name)

and symbol of a future??

Like Nero uncaring,

this one is pricking at

the thin spirit

of a people painfully

worn by economics,

an exercise in greed.

The world takes two steps forward

to a compassionate,

sharing, global community,

then,

Close the gates!

Build the wall!

and we step back eight.

He wants America to live as he,

closed and walled off

to protect his greed,

and humanity will take

a few more steps back

from Chardin's hopeful evolution

of global consciousness,

cooperation and tact.

What are you afraid of?

He blames himself for nothing.

"The devil made me do it!"
