Palm Sunday

The Healer, The Teacher,The Lover,

This Son of God chuckles,

His Ass astride an ass;

with shouts of praise

the crowd's amazed,

and green fronds

pave the path.

Celebrating now,

the challenge begins.

He knows;

they chose

to test the high hats' patience.

The joyful parade

gives way to

solemn drumming,

and smiling mouths to  mumming.

Happy eyes soon to fill with tears,

joyful hearts pained by fears

of persecution of One

so beautiful …. so beautiful.
