Days and weeks
of cloud and mist,
grayness, chill
and sunshine missed.
Waiting and watching
for signs of change,
continue to hope
the clearing’s in range.
The greens are greener,
the soil is damp,
so nature grows rampant
till the heat puts a clamp
on the joy of
being green.
